OPP Continue To Investigate Collision In Severn On Tuesday

Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Simcoe County EMS and Severn Fire, responded to a serious two-vehicle collision in the Township of Severn.

On January 13, 2026, around 7:20 am, officers were called to the scene at the intersection of Kinnear Sideroad and Upper Big Chute Road in the Township of Severn. The collision resulted in one individual being transported to a Toronto area trauma centre by Ornge with serious injuries.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to investigate. The roadway was closed for several hours during this and has since reopened.
