That’s why the Ontario Government thought you might be interested to know the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is considering changes to how floating accommodations use Ontario’s public waterways.
After receiving an overwhelming number of concerns about the effects of floating accommodations, the ministry is considering ways to reduce potential environmental impact caused by floating accommodations.
Changes include clarifying the rules around suitable use of watercrafts for camping and limiting the time allowed for camping on water on provincial public land.
“We are seeking the public’s feedback on these proposed changes to help protect provincial public waterways.” officials said in a media release.
