More than rest stop. More than expected.

ONroute’s 23 plazas are preparing for the kick-off of summer travel season this Victoria Day weekend.

“Ontarians are ready, perhaps more than ever, to get on the road and rediscover our beautiful province,” says Melanie Teed-Murch, Chief Executive Officer of ONroute. “We are delighted and eager to welcome them on their journey. We’ve had time to prepare, and we are confident travellers will like what they see during their stop at ONroute.”

The 400 and 401 highway plazas are prepared with summer travel essentials including best in class brands, apparel, and summer toys. Travellers can also take a break and enjoy a Starbucks handcrafted beverage using ONroute’s new Starbucks Stand-Alone locations with drive-thru, pick-up window, and patio. The company’s newest addition, at its Napanee plaza, is ready to welcome long weekend road trippers.

ONroute houses a variety of brands including Tim Hortons, where guests can use the mobile app to skip the line; Freshii and its grab n go options in the ONmarket; Popeyes and its famous “internet breaking” chicken sandwich; Burger King, New York Fries, Subway, A&W and more.

Additional amenities include EV charging stations at select plazas, clean washrooms, free Wi-Fi, and a 24/7 ONmarket. Pet and picnic areas will be open as of May 20, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. seven days a week. Wherever this long weekend takes you, ONroute is ready to be a part of your journey and looks forward to serving you along the way.

“We are working hard to support you on your journey with a renewed, customer-focused approach. You have a choice when you travel and are the soul of what we do; we want to be a part of your journey and ensure that we are providing the best amenities, brands, and services we can to every customer, every time they walk through our plaza doors,” Melanie Teed-Murch.
