No Injuries, Police Appealing for Witnesses After Orillia Transit Bus Pellet Gun Shooting

The Orillia OPP are investigating an early morning pellet gun shooting incident targeting an Orillia Transit bus in the City of Orillia.

Police said no injuries were reported, and investigators are appealing for public assistance.

On March 18, 2022, shortly before 7 a.m., Orillia OPP was notified of two males shooting with what is believed to be pellet guns at the windows of an Orillia Transit bus on West/North Street in Orillia.

No injuries were reported. Officers from the Orillia OPP, Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Forensic Unit attended.

The suspects have not been identified at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no elevated risk to the public at this time.
