More Rain, At Times Heavy, Is Expected Today

Rainfall warning continued for:
Barrie – Orillia – Midland,
Western Algonquin Park – Lake of Two Rivers,
Parry Sound – Muskoka,
Haliburton,
Bruce Peninsula – Sauble Beach – Tobermory,
Owen Sound – Blue Mountains – Northern Grey County,
Shelburne – Mansfield – Northern Dufferin County,
Orangeville – Grand Valley – Southern Dufferin County,

Hazards:
Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm.
Locally higher amounts are also possible in areas that receive thunderstorms.

Timing:
Ending this afternoon for areas near Lake Huron and late this evening or overnight for areas east of Georgian Bay.

Discussion:
Showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the region as a cold front approaches from the west.

Impacts:

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
