Kathie Gamna of Midland is celebrating after winning a WINTARIO50 prize worth $50,000 in the August 14, 2025 draw.
Kathie, a 70-year-old retiree, says she’s an occasional lottery player with OLG. She was out grocery shopping when she decided to purchase a WINTARIO50 ticket. “My husband checked my ticket for me and told me I’d won $50,000! I was so surprised,” she shared while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall.
“My husband was very happy for me. I told my daughter about this win, and she was excited too,” Kathie smiled. “Personally, I still can’t believe it.”
Kathie plans to put her winnings toward a well-deserved vacation. She also plans to donate a portion, buy a new stove, and save for the future.
“Being a winner feels surreal,” she concluded.
