Partnership Expands Premium Watersports Experiences Across Muskoka and Beyond and Introduces a Specialized Tow & Surf Boat Service Centre
Maple Leaf Marinas (MLM), Ontario’s largest operator of freshwater marinas and a leader in premium boating experiences, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Muskoka Wake, the region’s premier watersports school. This partnership marks a significant evolution in on-water programming across Muskoka, Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe, bringing together best-in-class boats, expert instruction and unforgettable watersports experiences.
With 21 marina and dealership locations, Maple Leaf Marinas is known for delivering The Ultimate Boating Lifestyle — from dockage, storage and service, to boat sales, events and curated experiences. This collaboration reinforces the company’s commitment to enhancing how customers experience their time on the water.
Founded in 2011 by professional wakeboarders, Muskoka Wake is a premier watersports service provider known for exceptional instruction, high-touch experiences, and best-in-class programming on the lakes of Muskoka. Muskoka Wake delivers a full suite of on-water services, including dockside clinics, private lessons, kids camp programs, E-Foiling
experiences, flyboarding, and events, serving guests of all ages and skill levels. With a strong emphasis on safety, progression, and fun, the brand has built a trusted reputation for creating memorable, confidence-building experiences on the water.
Under this partnership, Muskoka Wake will serve as the exclusive watersports provider across the MLM dealer network, operating behind industry-leading MasterCraft and Malibu boats, fully aligned with dealership brands and standards.
MasterCraft-powered experiences will be offered at Walkers Point Marina, Port Sandfield Marina, Lefroy Harbour, Huntsville Marine, Payne Marine and Kawagama Lake Marina.
Malibu-powered experiences will be offered at Gordon Bay Marine, Gordon Bay on Lake Muskoka and Baysville Marina.
“Partnering with Muskoka Wake allows us to elevate what we offer at our dealer locations,” said Steve Tait, VP of Sales for MLM. “This collaboration puts expert coaching, premium boats and unforgettable on-water experiences directly into
the hands of our customers.”
The partnership creates a seamless bridge between boat ownership and experience, allowing customers to learn, progress, and fully enjoy their boats with professional instruction behind the industry’s most respected towboat brands.
“This partnership with Maple Leaf Marinas and two of the industry’s leading tow boat manufacturers, in both MasterCraft and Malibu Boats, allows us to continue to expand our reach while maintaining the high standards Muskoka Wake has set itself,” said Andy Milovanovic, President and Co-Founder of Muskoka Wake. “Working with Maple Leaf
Marinas and their exceptional dealer network opens new opportunities to introduce more people to watersports in a meaningful way.”
From first-time riders to experienced athletes, Muskoka Wake programming will be integrated into select marina locations, offering lessons, clinics and special events designed to build confidence and excitement on the water.
In support of the expanded watersports offering, MLM is also launching Wake Works – Powered by Gordon Bay Marine, a specialized Tow & Surf Boat Specialty Service Centre designed to exclusively support high-performance watersports boats across Muskoka and beyond.
“As a service-based business, aligning with a dealership network that meets us from a service standpoint at a level that matches our standards is incredibly important,” said Milovanovic. “The new Wake Works – Powered by Gordon Bay Marine Service Centre gives us confidence that not only our program, but also our customers across all towboat brands,
will truly benefit from Muskoka’s first dedicated towboat and wakesurf boat service facility.”
Based at Gordon Bay Marine, Wake Works will focus exclusively on the service, maintenance and care of towboats and surf boats — ensuring owners receive expert support from technicians who understand the unique demands of these specialized vessels.
“This partnership reflects our long-term vision for Maple Leaf Marinas,” said Derek Lubert, President of MLM. “We’re focused on creating meaningful experiences that go beyond traditional marina offerings. Working with Muskoka Wake allows us to deliver something truly special — combining premium boats, professional instruction and an elevated
lifestyle that sets us apart in the marketplace.”
