Local Musician Takes Two-year Facebook Project to the Stage
Muskoka Chautauqua presents: Leah Leslie Unplugged.
Leah Leslie couldn’t be more excited, to be hitting the stage after two years of virtual performances on Facebook and Instagram.
On Friday, April 22, 2022 at 7:30pm, Muskoka Chautauqua presents Leah Leslie Unplugged at Gravenhurst Opera House. Cash bar opens at 6pm.
“Two years ago, I was putting a live concert together, and then we all know what happened. No concert. So… on March 26, 2020, I picked up my guitar, recorded a song and posted it on Facebook.
This became a daily ritual, and since then, I have shared hundreds of songs – classic folk, jazz, blues, country and a few originals. Recently, I realized we were coming up on the second anniversary, and I decided now is the time to make that concert happen,” says Leah.
Leah will be joined on stage by musical friends.From 10 a.m., to 7:30 p.m, select works of award-winning artist Gayle Dempsey will be displayed at the Opera House, as a preview to her upcoming July exhibition in Port Carling this July.
