The Muskoka Lumber Community Centre will be home to the new Coulson Family Bracebridge Library
Today, the Town of Bracebridge took another big step towards bringing the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre to life by announcing the next round of community sponsors, including the title sponsor for the library. When the Bracebridge Library moves to its new home in 2024, it will be known as the Coulson Family Bracebridge Library, thanks to the generosity of Coulson Brothers Scow Service.
Through their donations, each individual or organization will become a named sponsor in the facility.
- Coulson Brothers Scow Service, contributing $130,000 over ten years for naming rights to the library;
- Don and Joyce MacKay, contributing $50,000 over 15 years for naming rights to the makerspace in the library; and
- Robert Jacob, contributing $15,000 over 20 years for naming rights to tutorial room A in the library.
Opening in 2024, the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre will provide the community with a state-of-the-art, multi-generational social hub that consolidates community activities and services under one roof. The facility will be home to an arena, library, multi-sport fieldhouse, outdoor courtyard, and more, plus include the option for future expansion, supporting Bracebridge for generations to come.
Help support the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre by sponsoring a seat in the arena or bay in the library. For $500 for an arena seat, or $250 for a library bay, sponsors will have a name placard in place for 25 years and receive a charitable tax receipt. Fifteen per cent of each seat and bay sale will go towards the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation’s annual capital fundraising campaign for much needed medical equipment.
