Huntsville Resident Faces Drug And Shoplifting Charges

On March 15, 2025 at approximately 1858 hours The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a Theft at various businesses at 111 Howland Drive, Huntsville. 

Police located the suspect and discovered various stolen items. In addition, a quantity of drugs were found on the male as well. During this investigation, officers uncovered details that the male may be responsible for several acts of vandalism in the community recently. The vandalism is related to spray painting walls and signs.

Charged is Scott James Hampson, 29 years old of Huntsville Ontario.

·      Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING  x 2

·      Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on April 22, 2025.

The Huntsville O.P.P. is continuing with the investigation into the vandalism and ask that anyone with information on similar acts of vandalism contact the Huntsville O.P.P. detachment at 705-789-5551
