Officers of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) are always looking for criminal driving behaviour. This weekend alone, two more were taken off our roadways thanks to police efforts.
On September 20, 2025 at 3:33 a.m. police were called to a vehicle in the ditch on Falcon Road in the Town of Huntsville. Officer detected an odour of alcohol and required the driver to perform roadside alcohol screening test.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged Cameron BLAIR, 19 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Driving while Suspended
The accused was released with an October court date before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.
The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
On September 21, 2025 at 7:10 a.m., Huntsville O.P.P. officers were dispatched to a report of a male in a vehicle who was possibly unconscious. Upon arrival at the scene on Old Ferguson Road in the Town of Huntsville, police determined the male to be impaired.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged Andrew Cryderman, 38 years old of Sprucedale Ontario, with Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
The accused was released with an October court date before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.
The accused was also issued a 90 Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING.
These event could have easily been avoided had the drivers planned ahead before consuming alcohol or drugs. Don’t include alcohol or drugs in any plans to drive. Instead, arrange for a designated driver, take a taxi or public transit, or come up with another option that takes driving out of the picture altogether.
