Have Your Say: Help Design South Georgian Bay’s Future Hospital

What should it feel like to enter South Georgian Bay’s future hospital? How should its spaces reflect care, connection, and belonging? And what qualities should shine through in the design of a hospital built by – and for – this community?

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is inviting everyone in the region to help answer these questions at upcoming Community Visioning Sessions in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach.

These drop-in sessions offer a chance to see early design concepts, explore ideas from other modern hospitals, and share your thoughts directly with the architects and planners shaping CGMH’s future facility.

Whether you have ten minutes or an hour to spare, your input will help ensure the new hospital reflects the people, character, and natural beauty of South Georgian Bay.

Sessions take place on:

  • Monday, October 27, 2025 | 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. | Collingwood Public Library
  • Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. | Wasaga Stars Arena

“Every community has its own personality and voice,” said Cathy Renaud, Vice President, Hospital Development, CGMH. “South Georgian Bay has a creative and connected energy unlike anywhere else, and we want that essence to be felt throughout our new hospital. These sessions are an opportunity to hear directly from the people who live here – to make sure the design reflects the people, stories, and values that define South Georgian Bay.”
