The Grey Bruce OPP have charged an individual with impaired related charges following a snowmobile collision.
On December 26, 2022, at 7:27 p.m., the Grey Bruce OPP, Grey Highlands Fire Department, and Grey County EMS responded to a report of a collision involving two snowmobiles on West Back Line in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
One of the operators was placed under arrest after officers detected signs of impairment.
The Grey Bruce OPP have charged Kenneth Peterson, 48 years of age, from Grey Highlands, with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
Both involved parties were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
