The Orillia OPP are currently on scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 12 at Stagecoach Road in Oro-Medonte Township.
On April 7, 2022, at just before 5 a.m., Orillia OPP, along with emergency services, responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision involving two passenger vehicles on Highway 12 at Stagecoach Road in Oro-Medonte Township.
One driver has been pronounced deceased. The other driver is being airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto-area trauma centre in Toronto.
The identity of the deceased will be withheld pending family notification.
Highway 12 will be closed for several hours in both directions, between Line 12 and Moonstone Road, as OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionists complete their investigation.
