On Monday November 7, 2022 at 12 p.m. the North East Region OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a drug warrant on an Isabella Street home in South River.
As a result of the warrant, police located and seized the following drugs:
- Approximately 38 grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 18 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 8 grams methamphetamine
- Percocet’s
- $1170 Canadian Currency
As a result, police arrested and charged Jason Simpell 40 years-of-age of South River Ontario with the following offences:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid (other than Heroin), contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 in Canada,
The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday December 8, 2022 in Sundridge Ontario
