One person was arrested on multiple drug trafficking offences following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant, resulting in the seizure of various illicit substances with an estimated street value of $22,000.
On Tuesday September 30, 2025, the North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with assistance from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a search warrant at a residence on Echo Ridge Road in Kearney.
During the search, officers seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy tablets, and suboxone. Police also recovered approximately $2,300 in Canadian currency, a pellet gun, a digital scale, and packaging materials.
As a result of the investigation, Jesse McNamara, 31 years-of-age of Kearney, was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – crack cocaine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – crystal methamphetamine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – ecstasy
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – lisdexamfetamine
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – suboxone
· Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking – lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)
· Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking – Lorazepam
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
· Failure to comply with release order
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on September 30, 2025.
