On December 9, 2022 at 2:20 p.m., Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officers received several calls from members of the public about the concerning driving behaviour of a motorist who was initially on Bethune Drive in Gravenhurst and continued onto Highway 11 South.
Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 11 South near Canning Road and after an investigation into the cause of the driving, arrested and charged 41 year-old Darin Wiley of Aylmer, ON with Impaired Operation of a Vehicle.
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on January 3, 2022 to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his licence has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded.
