Driver Charged With Impaired After Fail To Remain Crash In Orillia

The Orillia OPP arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation related charges.

On May 20, 2023, shortly after 3 a.m., officers from Orillia OPP were called to a collision on Atherley Road in the City of Orillia. Officers patrolled the area of the collision and located the damaged vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver displayed signs of alcohol consumption. Officers entered an impaired driving investigation.

As a result Natalia Canadas-Roy a 18 year-old, from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – Concentration above 80
  • Adult fail to remain.
  • Young driver – Blood Alcohol Concentration above zero
  • Mischief

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia, to answer to the charges on June 20, 2023. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and vehicle impounded for seven days.
