Haliburton Highlands OPP say they have charged a driver with operation while impaired as a result of a single motor vehicle collision.
On Canada Day at 4:33 p.m., officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP responded to a single vehicle collision on Billings Lake Road in Highlands East Township.
As a result of the investigation, Jayden McGhee-Rose, 19-years-old, of London, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Careless Driving
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, on September 1, 2021. Their driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
