The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a multi vehicle collision in downtown Parry Sound.
On October 23, 2024, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the West Parry Sound OPP along with Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Parry Sound Fire Department responded to a collision involving five motor vehicles on Seguin Street in the Town of Parry Sound. Several drivers were transported to a Parry Sound area hospital with minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation Paul Beggs, 72 years old from Carling Township was charged for Follow too closely contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
