Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to motor vehicle collision on 15-16 Sideroad that occurred on Wednesday evening shortly after an earlier collision on Old Barrie Rd and Line 8 N.
On May 29, 2024, shortly after 6:15 p.m., Orillia OPP, along with Oro-Medonte Fire, County of Simcoe Paramedics, responded to a two-vehicle collision, injuring one occupant. That lone occupant was transported to a local hospital with serious non life threatening injuries. The road was closed for approximately four hours while police investigated the collision.
A 54-year-old driver from Aurora has been charged with Careless Driving.
