The District of Muskoka is accepting applications for passionate and dedicated community members to fill vacancies on the Public Liaison Committee (PLC) for the Rosewarne Landfill, the only active landfill in Muskoka.

It is essential we work together to reduce waste, divert material properly, and optimize operations to make the best use of every inch of space, and to make the Rosewarne Landfill last as long as possible.

“The Rosewarne Landfill is more than just the destination for our garbage, it is a critical resource that we need to preserve for the future of our communities,” said Brenda Rhodes – District Councillor and Chair of the Rosewarne PLC. “If you are committed to reducing waste, protecting our environment, and want to be part of shaping the future of waste management in Muskoka, please apply to this important Committee and tell us more.”

Are you someone who cares deeply about their community and wants to make a positive impact on the environment? Do you have a passion for sustainable waste management and want to represent the broader public on issues related to landfills and waste management? If so, the District invites you to learn more and apply to the Committee to join the Rosewarne PLC.

Ready to make a difference? Apply today, learn more, and visit the District’s website https://www.muskoka.on.ca/PLC/ – applications close on June 16, 2023.
