Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to a call of a person in crisis at a home on Albert Street in Victoria Harbour on the afternoon of February 10, 2022.
Attending officers were assisted by members of the OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), K-9 Unit, North Simcoe Crisis Management and Resource Team (CMART), OPP Negotiators and Simcoe County Paramedics.
In regard for the safety of the public, Albert Street was closed for a period of time and nearby residents were asked to shelter in place.
At around 5:30 p.m. the incident was resolved peacefully, without injury. The person in crisis was transported from the involved residence to hospital by police.
