Call From Public Leads To Drug Charges In Parry Sound

The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a person after a call from the public.

On September 28, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m. the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a report of a person passed out in the middle of Bowes Street in the Town of Parry Sound. Police located the male who had since moved to a nearby business. Further investigation revealed the person had a quantity of drugs, suspected to be fentanyl and hydromorphone and was also breaching court orders.

Brandon Deacon 33-years-of-age of Whitestone Ontario was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 2 substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance – Opioid
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on October 3, 2025
