The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating an assault that occurred on West St N and Calverley St in the City of Orillia.
On 17th of May 2024, at approximately 4:14 a.m., Orillia OPP received information of a disturbance in the area of West St. N and Calverly St. The initial investigation shows that two unknown males approached another male and assaulted him for unknown reasons. Both parties were described as 6’1, with thin builds wearing dark hoodies. The unknown suspects fled on foot as a passer by stopped to assist.
