Evening of Christmas Magic In Huntsville November 29 – Tree Lighting, Santa Claus Parade, And Next Generation Leahy Christmas Concert

Friday, November 29 is going to be a festive evening in Huntsville as we lead into the Christmas Season with the BIA’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Rotary’s Annual Santa Claus Parade, and the Next Generation Leahy Celtic Christmas concert at the Algonquin Theatre. Community Tree Lighting Ceremony

O Christmas Tree! On Friday, November 29, the Downtown Huntsville BIA kicks off the festivities with its Annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony in Kent Park. Beginning at 5 pm – listen to carolers, roast a s’more over the fire, enjoy baked beans provided by the Table Soup Kitchen/Algonquin Cafe and watch as the Christmas tree is lit up at 6:30 p.m.

The Table Soup Kitchen will be accepting financial donations or donations of fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food as well as toiletries, baby items, feminine products, and pet food. Santa Claus Parade

Santa Claus is coming to Town! The Rotary Club of North Muskoka’s Annual Santa Claus Parade will start at 7 pm on Friday, November 29. There will be impact to traffic downtown as the main street will be closed for a holly jolly good time. During this time, Main Street will be closed from Yonge to Huntsville Place Mall / King William from approximately 5-8:30 p.m. Please respect all vehicular barricades and signage and follow detour routes.

The Next Generation Leahy Christmas Concert

Joy to the World! This Christmas, join The Next Generation Leahy for a seasonal celebration. The group features six accomplished multi-instrumentalists aged 14-22, already renowned for their high-energy performances delivering the infectious Celtic spirit that earlier generations have come to associate with the Leahy heritage. This performance delivers beautiful music and family favourites with fiddle, accordion, piano, and French-Canadian step-dancing woven together in song.

Parking Downtown Huntsville on November 29

Jingle all the way! With so much Christmas cheer going on in Downtown Huntsville on November 29, be sure to use the municipal parking lot signage and pre-plan your parking with our online interactive map. Side street parking will be permitted during the above noted events as long as cars are not blocking fire hydrants, driveways, or in a prohibited area. Please note that there is an overnight parking restriction on all Town roads between midnight and 6 am.

We encourage you to plan to arrive early to allow time to walk to your evening’s activities. While you’re at it – enjoy dinner at one of our downtown restaurants or get some Christmas shopping done at some of our local shops.
