Armour Township Resident Shows Up To OPP Detachment Impaired

Members of the Almaguin Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver after they attended detachment for an unrelated investigation.

On May 29, 2024 at approximately 9:15 pm, the driver turned themselves into officers at the Detachment. While speaking to the driver in relation to the original investigation, officers noted signs of impairment.

As a result of the subsequent investigation, a 40-year-old female of Armour Township was charged with:

• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

• Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge at a later date to answer to the charges.
