Youth Charged After Making Threats At An Orillia School

Members of the Orillia OPP have charged a youth in relation to threats made at a local high school.

Orillia OPP were dispatched to threats call at Twin Lakes Secondary School in Orillia on Thursday, June 2. The school was briefly placed in a hold and secure while police located a suspect who was off school property. A youth was located quickly by police. As a result of the investigation, a youth was charged with Utter Threats – cause bodily harm, S. 264(1)(a) – four counts.

The youth was released on an Undertaking with a future court date. Police were in contact with school officials throughout the incident ensuring the safety of students and staff.
