West Parry Sound OPP Charge Sudbury Man With Stunt Driving


A Sudbury man has been charged with racing a motor vehicle after being stopped by the West Parry Sound OPP on March 24, making him the detachment’s tenth stop for stunt driving this year.

A member of the West Parry Sound OPP was conducting radar patrol when the officer saw a southbound vehicle travelling at a high speed on Highway 69 in The Archipelago Township just before 1:30 p.m. on March 24. The driver, 19-year-old Jagtar Singh of Sudbury, was charged with Race a motor vehicle – excessive speed, contrary to section 172(1) of the highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA).

Singh is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 30. His licence has been suspended for seven days and the car he was operating has been impounded for seven days.  


  1. 19 years old! So we will deal with this with severity? This sounds like a young lad that needs an attitude adjustment about life! He’ll be okay, slap on the wrist! Judge will see he had a troubled past, it’s okay he wont do it again, plea bargain ya then our first responders will deal with it down the road in later years! Just saying!
