Wasaga Beach Prom Party Visitors Asked To Celebrate Responsibly

Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are aware that prom parties have begun in the Town of Wasaga Beach.

The OPP recognizes that this is a very exciting time for many people and encourage everyone to celebrate their accomplishments and achievements safely, and responsibly.

Residents and visitors should expect to see increased police presence. When responding to calls for service, the Huronia West OPP will be exercising a “strict but fair” enforcement approach.

The OPP reminds anyone who plans to visit Wasaga Beach for a celebration to be responsible and respectful. Visitors are reminded to respect our communities and not jeopardize the safety of our citizens or our neighbourhoods with risky, illegal or dangerous actions.

The OPP will be working in partnership with the Town of Wasaga Beach – Municipal Bylaw Enforcement Unit to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors.
