On February 24, 2022, several police resources executed a drug warrant at a home on Great North Road in Parry Sound.
Officers seized over $9,000 of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine and over $1,100 in Canadian currency.
As a result of the investigation, Amanda Neal-Emerson, 38 years-of-age of Parry Sound was arrested and charged with:
- Theft under $5000
- Mischief
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
A young person, from Parry Sound, was also arrested and charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Obstruct peace officer
- Assault a peace officer (two counts)
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
Amanda Neal-Emerson is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on March 31, 2022.
