Two Charged In Connection With Break And Enters In Haliburton

Members of the Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) / Haliburton Highlands Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) have made two arrests following an investigation into two reported break and enters in the County of Haliburton.

On April 12, 2024, members of the Haliburton Highlands OPP were at a residence in Haliburton and observed property and a vehicle related to prior reported break and enters in the County of Haliburton. The vehicle was seized, and a search warrant was obtained. This resulted in the recovery of stolen property.

Through this investigation two people were identified and later arrested.

Katlyn Hollands (age 32) of Haliburton has been charged with:

·        Possession of stolen property under 5000

·        Possession of stolen property over 5000

 

This accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden on June 5, 2024.

Joseph Bell (age 32) of Peterborough has been charged with:

·        Possession of stolen property under 5000

·        Possession of stolen property over 5000

·        Fail to comply with probation order (2 counts)

This accused was held for a bail hearing.
