Traffic Stop Leads To Several Drug And Weapons Charges In Orillia

The Orillia OPP have arrested and charged two adults and one youth with drug and weapons offences.

On March 26, 2022, a police investigation began after a vehicle was observed swerving on Hwy 11 north of Campbell road in Severn Township.

Officers stopped the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, were given cause to enter into a drug investigation.

All occupants were arrested and removed from the vehicle and a search resulted in the seizure of quantities of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, cannabis and methamphetamine as well as a quantity of Canadian currency and a knife.

All three suspects were held for a bail hearing, remanded into custody.
