With funding provided by the Province of Ontario, Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility, the Township of Tiny is pleased to once again offer our weekly Coffee and Connect program for adults 55 and over. Join them at the Wyebridge Community Centre (8340 Highway 93, Tiny) every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from April 11 to May 23, 2023, with the exception of May 2.

This drop-in program is designed to help older adults become more comfortable with technology and increase their knowledge about the Internet. New this spring will be beginner and intermediate sessions, running simultaneously. Through hands-on learning experiences, participants will learn how to use a variety of devices including smartphones, tablets, and computers. They will also learn how to navigate the internet, use email, and search for information online. The class will be taught by patient and experienced instructors who will provide personalized attention and support to each participant. In addition to learning practical skills, participants will have the opportunity to socialize and connect with others who share their interests in technology. By the end of the six-week program, participants will have gained confidence in their ability to use technology and will be able to access the vast resources available online to stay connected with family and friends, access information, and enjoy new forms of entertainment.

Connecting to the internet has never been more important. Coffee and Connect provides a relaxed, safe, and friendly atmosphere for participants to learn and explore. Bring your own tech device, use free Wi-Fi, have refreshments, and enjoy meeting others from the community. No device? No problem! They provide loaner iPads along with technical support. Transportation is available through Community Reach. Contact them should you require this service.
