Tiered Seating Project Starting At Gull Lake Rotary Park In Gravenhurst

Contractors are starting work on a project that will result in new tiered seating at Gull Lake Rotary Park.

Due to the work, contractors have closed the main parking lot at the park. This is the lot accessible from Brock Street.

Visitors will see that a marked walking path, running along the west side of the main parking lot, provides access to the pavilion and the southern portion of the park. This path starts at the southeast corner of Brock Street and Bethune Drive.

Access to the park remains via the entrance and small parking lot off Third Street.

People visiting the park should note that the construction areas might change during the project. People should not cross any construction area barriers and should observe any posted notices.

The Rotary Club of Gravenhurst is spearheading the seating project at the town-owned park. The project is known as Rotary Rocks the Barge. Learn more about the project.

Gravenhurst council awarded the construction project to Powcon Inc. in February.

The town anticipates construction will conclude in late May.
