Doritos Roll’d™ rolled tortilla chips is a new brand launch featuring a distinctive rolled chip format, designed for an even more intense snacking experience, launching exclusively in Canada.

Three flavours are launching: Nachos Supreme, Fiery Lime and Dill Pickle Blast.

The distinctive rolled shape pairs bold flavour, amplified crunch and satisfying texture in every bite; available at major retailers nationwide.

The Doritos brand is turning the traditional tortilla chip on its side, and rolling it up, with the launch of Doritos Roll’d™ tortilla chips, featuring a distinctive rolled format available exclusively in Canada.

Designed to deliver an even more intense snacking experience, Doritos Roll’d chips pairs bold flavour, amplified crunch and a distinctive rolled shape that brings texture and taste together in every bite.

And because intensity is about more than heat, Doritos Roll’d chips are launching in three new flavours, each bringing something different to the snack aisle:

Nachos Supreme: Dig into the flavours of layered nachos, loaded with melted cheddar, zesty tomato and a hint of jalapeño

Fiery Lime: Taste the heat of blazing chili fire colliding with extreme lime for a bold hit of heat and citrus.

Dill Pickle Blast: Experience a burst of dill, bold tang and that just-opened pickle jar punch.

Whether snackers reach for cheesy, spicy or tangy, all three flavours combine intense flavour with the distinctive rolled format and satisfying crunch Doritos fans know and love.

“Doritos has always delivered bold flavour and unexpected experiences, and Doritos Roll’d brings that spirit to life with a distinctive rolled format and added intensity” said Shirley Mukerjea, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo Canada. “Younger Canadians are looking for snacks that engage more than taste alone, so we brought together flavour, texture, crunch and visual appeal in one memorable bite, and we’re incredibly excited for Canadians to try it.”

PepsiCo Canada’s research found that Gen Z is looking beyond flavour alone, seeking products and experiences that engage multiple senses and help express their personalities. Doritos Roll’d chips reponds to that appetite for discovery with a product that feels bold, playful and easy to understand; the Doritos brand experience fans know, in a rolled chip.

Throughout the launch, Canadians can also expect social content, creator moments and unexpected experiences that bring the bold personality of Doritos Roll’d chips beyond the snack aisle.

Doritos Roll’d rolled tortilla chips will be available beginning in August 2026, at major retailers nationwide.

Hit the road, follow your appetite, and help crown the 2026 Food Truck Wars champion – all for a cause in North Muskoka.

Food Truck Wars, a new friendly competition running September 1 to 30, challenges
participating food trucks to donate a portion of proceeds from month-long sales of a
featured dish to Community Living Huntsville. At the end of the month, the truck that
raises the most funds for the not-for-profit developmental services organization will win
the Food Truck Wars Trophy and the title of Food Truck Wars Champion. While there is a trophy on the line – and delicious food – the real winner is the
community.

“Food Truck Wars is all about bringing people together,” says Laura Flynn, Community
Engagement Associate for Community Living Huntsville. “These local business owners
will be friendly competitors, but they are also community partners who have chosen to
support a disability-inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to belong.”
Nine trucks from Emsdale to Port Sydney and Huntsville to Dwight have thrown their
hats in the ring. Featured dishes include wontons, burgers, crepe, tacos, smashed
potato, and poutine.

A full list is available on the competition’s website.

Which truck claims the trophy is up to the public to decide.
For members of the public, the event is simple:
• Download the 2026 Food Truck Wars Map
• Visit participating food trucks from September 1 to 30
• Order their Food Truck Wars featured dish
• Help your favourite climb the leaderboard with your purchase

The public can make the competition even more exciting by downloading the official
Food Truck Wars BINGO Card, too. Diners who complete a full card can submit it for
a chance to win a Community Living Huntsville Prize Pack valued at more than $50.
One entry per person.

Funds raised through Food Truck Wars support Community Living Huntsville’s purpose of promoting meaningful choice and real inclusion for people with developmental
disabilities, so people, families, and communities can thrive.

Explore new flavours, support your favourite trucks, and enjoy some friendly rivalry.
dishes, and to download the Food Truck Wars map and BINGO card, visit

Community Living Huntsville is a not-for-profit, registered charity that supports and

Believed to be Canada’s first nationally available marble rye sub at a quick-service submarine chain, the limited-time offering celebrates one of the country’s most iconic sandwich traditions.

MR.SUB is bringing legendary deli flavour to Canadians with the launch of the Marble Rye Double-Stack. Believed to be the first nationally available marble rye sub offered by a Canadian quick-service submarine sandwich chain, the hearty limited-time offering pairs distinctive marble rye bread with generous layers of pastrami, Montreal smoked meat, Swiss cheese, crisp pickles and signature Dijon aioli for a deli-inspired sub that’s stacked to satisfy. The new sandwich will be available nationally starting August 31, 2026.

For generations, marble rye has been the foundation of some of Canada’s most beloved deli sandwiches. From neighbourhood delicatessens to family lunches, its distinctive flavour and unmistakable marbled swirls have become part of the country’s sandwich culture. Yet despite its iconic status, marble rye has rarely appeared on national quick-service menus. Until now.

“There’s just something about marble rye,” says Chef Anthony Leech. “The moment you smell it baking in our ovens, you know exactly what kind of sandwich you’re about to eat. We wanted to pair it with ingredients that feel at home with that bread: pastrami, Montreal smoked meat, Swiss and a Dijon aioli that’s both sharp and creamy.”

While many limited-time offers chase the latest trend, the Marble Rye Double-Stack celebrates something different: the enduring appeal of timeless deli craftsmanship. It’s a reminder that some of the best sandwiches aren’t reinvented, they’re rediscovered. Rich, savoury and unapologetically generous, it’s a sandwich inspired by legendary delis and built for today’s appetites.

“The best deli sandwiches are generous,” says Leech. “They’re the kind of sandwich you look at and think, ‘I’m going to need two hands for this.’ That’s exactly the feeling we wanted with the Marble Rye Double-Stack.”

The Marble Rye Double-Stack continues MR.SUB’s commitment to honest food prepared with care. Every sandwich is made fresh to order using quality ingredients guests can see, customize and enjoy exactly the way they like.

Available for a limited time at participating MR.SUB restaurants across Canada beginning August 31, 2026, the Marble Rye Double-Stack invites Canadians to experience legendary deli flavour – freshly made, generously stacked and available only for a limited time at MR.SUB.

If you’re heading up north, we have some delicious news that’s guaranteed to make your road trip even tastier!

McCain is excited to announce a new partnership with the iconic road trip pit stop. Canada’s favourite fries are now proudly served at Webers on Highway 11. To celebrate bringing Canada’s favourite fries together with cottage country’s favourite burger, McCain is officially renaming Highway 11 to Fryway 11.

Whether you’re on the road or already relaxing at the cottage, McCain fries are the perfect companion. Here’s how cottagers and weekend warriors can join in on the fun:

The Ultimate Road Trip Stop: Cruise up Fryway 11 to enjoy classic Webers burgers paired with hot, crispy McCain fries. Road-trippers stopping at the iconic burger joint next Saturday, August 15th, can grab a coupon for a free package of McCain fries to enjoy at the cottage (while supplies last).

The Perfect BBQ Companion: There’s only one way to make cottage classics like burgers and hot dogs more irresistible, and that’s by pairing these summertime faves with the golden deliciousness of McCain french fries. From 5 Minute Shoestring Superfries, to Tasti Taters(R), to McCain Smiles(R), McCain has a perfect pairing for every time you fire up the grill.

Nearly 10,500 family visits to the Food Bank, over 13,000 baskets distributed, and 1 in 3 Muskoka households struggling to afford food — local charity says immediate financial support is critical to sustaining services

The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation (TTSKF), a registered charity, last week released its 2025 Annual Impact Report, revealing the sharpest rise in food insecurity and homelessness the Muskoka region has seen in years — and issuing an urgent call for financial donations to keep pace with skyrocketing demand for emergency food, shelter, and support services.

Rising housing costs, seasonal employment instability, health challenges, and increasing food prices are pushing more Muskoka neighbours into crisis than ever before. According to data cited in the report from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, nearly one in three households in the region is now struggling to afford the food they need.

LINK TO REPORT: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5918bc5517bffc6da9009aad/t/6a63ab51ee2ede42998e15ed/1784916817453/TTSKF+2025+IMPACT+REPORT+WEB.pdf

The Scale of the Crisis in 2025

10,429 family visits to the Food Bank — representing 1,430 adults and 625 children — accessing emergency food support over the course of the year.

13,375 baskets of food distributed to households across the region.

6,124 nourishing Soup Kitchen meals shared, including 2,959 sit-down meals and 3,165 meals delivered to those unable to attend in person.

9% of Huntsville’s entire population — with guests arriving from 38 surrounding communities — turned to The Table for help.

37 men supported through The Table’s Men’s Hostel, totalling 2,718 combined night stays, with guests staying an average of 109 days as they worked to regain stability.

102,945 lbs of rescued food, an estimated value of $428,983, redirected from waste into households in need through the organization’s food rescue partnership with Second Harvest.

“Behind every visit is a story — job loss, rising rent, medical expenses, homelessness, or seasonal income gaps,” said Heather Cassie, Founder and Executive Director of The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation. “Hunger and housing instability are no longer isolated challenges; they are community realities calling us to a faithful response. We have already seen an increased need in 2026, and we cannot meet this moment without our community standing beside us.”

In response to this escalating need, TTSKF made significant progress in 2025 on The Table Plaza, a new 12 Cann Street community hub in downtown Huntsville that consolidates the Food Bank, Food Rescue, Exchange Thrift Store, Emporium, Art Gallery & Community Hub, and Café under one roof— moving the organization from a traditional food bank model toward a fully integrated community hub addressing hunger, housing vulnerability, and social isolation together.

The organization’s work was made possible in 2025 by more than 125 volunteers and just three staff members, supported by major donors including The Sprott Foundation, Tulloch, Sobeys, Randy Blain Construction, and dozens of local businesses, churches, and individuals.

Urgent Call to Action: Donations Needed Now

With demand continuing to climb into 2026 and services expanding to meet it, The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation is calling on individuals, businesses, and community groups across Muskoka to make an immediate financial gift. Every dollar donated helps stock the Food Bank shelves, provide clothing and other basic essentials, prepare Soup Kitchen meals, and keep a warm bed available at the Men’s Hostel for someone with nowhere else to turn.

Donate now: REGISTERED CHARITY #832058929. Gifts can be made online at thetablefoundation.ca, in person at The Table Plaza (12 Cann St., Huntsville), or by e-transfer to info@thetablefoundation.ca. Volunteer opportunities are also available at thetablefoundation.ca/volunteer-application.

About The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation

The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to ensuring no person in Muskoka is left without food, shelter, clothing, dignity, and community connection. TTSKF provides immediate relief while building long-term, community-driven solutions to hunger and homelessness across the region.

Few foods bring people together quite like chicken wings. Whether served at a backyard barbecue, game-day party or casual summer get-together, they’re a crowd favourite that never goes out of style.

While deep-fried wings often steal the spotlight, grilling offers a delicious alternative with less mess and less added fat. From smoky and saucy to crispy and spicy, there are countless ways to create restaurant-quality wings right in your own backyard.

“Grilled wings are one of the easiest – and most rewarding – meals you can make at home,” says Garry Scott, Vice President of Marketing at Napoleon. “With a few simple techniques, you can achieve crispy skin, juicy meat and bold flavour without ever reaching for a deep fryer.”

To celebrate National Chicken Wing Day on July 29, Napoleon is sharing expert tips and recipes to help Canadians take their wings to the next level:

Marinades and Dry Rubs: Wings are incredibly versatile and easy to customize. A simple combination of olive oil, salt and pepper is always a winner, but experimenting with flavours is where the fun begins. Try a Buffalo-inspired dry rub with paprika, cayenne and chili powder, a bright lemon pepper blend or a Cambodian-inspired marinade featuring turmeric, soy, lime and garlic. For extra-crispy skin, toss raw wings with baking powder and salt the night before, then refrigerate them uncovered to draw out moisture.

Grilling Techniques: There are several ways to cook outstanding wings on the grill. Direct heat over medium-high flames create crispy skin in less time, while smoking over indirect heat with hickory or cheery wood chips at 250°F for about two hours adds incredible depth of flavour. Trying a new grilling technique with a cedar plank imparts a subtle smokiness, and a rotisserie grill basket delivers evenly cooked, crispy wings with minimal effort.

Sauces and Dips: Great wings deserve great sauces. Beyond classic Buffalo, honey garlic and barbecue, try a sticky honey sriracha glaze, a rich bourbon barbecue sauce or a beer-based sauce for a pub-inspired twist. For dipping, swap traditional ranch or blue cheese for a refreshing yogurt-based dip made with cucumber, garlic, lime and a touch of sugar.

Grill with Confidence: From high-heat searing to low-and-slow smoking and rotisserie cooking, Napoleon grills are built for every wing-making technique. No matter your favourite flavour profile, the right equipment makes it easy to achieve consistent, delicious results.

“Wings are the perfect canvas for creativity,” says Scott. “Whether you prefer sweet, smoky, spicy or something completely different, grilling brings out incredible flavour and creates a charred, juicy finish that’s hard to beat.”

Known for its Friday outdoor markets, Hale is opening a new permanent retail space with a focus on premium Canadian-made goods in late July. For the foodies in the area, the destination is also hosting a charcuterie event on July 25 and a celebrity chef burger competition on Aug. 9.

The second annual Board & Barrel: Charcuterie Experience offers the chance to make and taste curated charcuterie pairings.
Each participant gets a Hale charcuterie board with a selection of artisanal preserves, meats and cheeses provided by Jesse Tree Fine Foods, one of Hale’s regular vendors. There are four sessions available with a ticket cost of $60 per person. The day will also include a free open-air market with ready-to-drink cocktails, cheeses, breads, meats and more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Another repeat event from Hale Muskoka’s inaugural year, the Smash & Sear: Best in Burger Competition is back for another round. The competition on Sun., Aug. 9 will pit celebrity chefs Melanie Robinson, Gene Carpenter, Dylan James, Spencer Wolf and Bradley Yip against each other to see who can make the best smash burger.

Chefs will use grills from Broil King, meat from Rowe Beef and cheese from Jesse Tree Fine Foods to create their take on a culinary classic with Muskoka-sourced ingredients. The judging panel includes more notable names in the Canadian culinary world. Chefs Joel Gray, Charmaine Broughton, Melanie Dunkelman and Ben Kersley will join Rob Rowe, co-founder and owner of Rowe Beef Co., to taste the burgers and crown a winner.

Cabin will showcase everything from everyday essentials to handcrafted gifts, decor and food. The boutique will introduce product lines from River House Market linens, Damascus Soaps, Solly’s Craft Sodas and Sel St Laurent to Muskoka. It will also feature collaborations and limited-edition collections with Candy Goddess, Sandi Dunkelman Pottery and David Drown Pottery.

“Inspired by the natural surroundings and passionate community of artists, growers and makers, the picturesque destination was designed to foster authentic experiences that embrace the outdoors and support local businesses,” Abugov said.
