Stunt Driving Investigation Leads OPP To Drug Investigation In Tay Township

As a result of a vehicle stop by Southern Georgian Bay OPP, a significant seizure of Canadian currency and drugs have been removed from the streets of North Simcoe.

At 4:32 p.m. May 2, 2023 the officer observed a black BMW X5 travelling sout bound on Rumney Road, Tay Township and was able to obtain the speed of the vehicle to be in excess of 50km/h over the posted 80 km/h zone. The officer was able to safely stop the vehicle and entered into a stunt driving investigation.

As a result of this investigation, a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Percocet, Zanax, drug paraphernalia along with a significant amount of Canadian currency was seized with the assistance of the Detachment Community Street Crime Unit.

Charged in connection to this investigation are the following persons with their charges as listed.

#1 Driver -Timmy Michael Lemay 30 years of Midland

The accused is also the subject of a 30 day driving suspension and the BMW was towed and impounded for 14 days as per the Ministry of Transportation (ADLS) guidelines.

#2 Passenger – Adam Charlebois 33 years of Midland

#3 Passenger – Tyler Pauze 33 years of Tiny Township

The accused persons were released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 15, 2023.
