Two Muskoka Residents Charged With Possession Of Heroin For Purpose Of Trafficking

Two Muskoka residents have been charged with possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking after a traffic stop in Bracebridge on March 21.

The Bracebridge and Huntsville OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) conducted an investigation, which led to a traffic stop on Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge on March 21. Two people were arrested and heroin with an approximate street value of $2,000 was found.

Jordan David (JD) Sander, 31, of Bracebridge has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Arrested on strength of warrant for Fail to Appear in Court contrary to Section 145(2)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Taylor Devitt, 22, of Huntsville has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking S. 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Sander was held in custody for a bail hearing on March 22 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge. Devitt was released on a promise to appear in court in Bracebridge on April 16.
