Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for
- Huntsville – Baysville
- Town of Parry Sound – Rosseau – Killbear Park
A Colorado low pressure system is forecast to develop over the next couple of days, and begin trekking towards the Great Lakes. As moisture from the Gulf of Mexico is drawn northwards with the advancing low, some wintery precipitation is expected to develop tonight. It may begin as snow or ice pellets but will likely change to some freezing rain either late tonight or Tuesday morning. It may linger for a few hours on Tuesday before changing to rain.
Untreated roads may become slippery. A freezing rain warning is in effect for much of Eastern Ontario and may be extended to regions nearer Georgian Bay as the situation develops.
