Snow, Freezing Rain And Strong Winds Hammer Southern And Northeastern Ontario

A major winter storm affected Southern and Northeastern Ontario Tuesday and Tuesday night. Many areas of Southern Ontario southwest of a line from Collingwood to Toronto had up to 10 cm of snow and ice pellets, followed by several hours of freezing rain. Significant ice accretion was reported in many areas from the freezing rain, along with a few power outages.
