SIU Says No Reasonable Grounds To Charge Officer In Relation To Huntsville Arrest

1
On July 16, 2018, an Ontario Provincial Police officer arrested a 69-year-old man in the parking lot of a retail plaza in Huntsville. The man suffered three rib fractures in the process. The Interim Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against the officer in relation to the man’s arrest.

  1. Great decision by this team! Goes to work with no intention of getting hurt and hurting no one! Then has a 69 year old resist arrest! Hope the officer had no injuries and sound like he got the best of the suspect! Great day in law enforcement, safe day to all first responders!
