OPP Warn Retailers To Watch For Counterfeit Canadian Currency

Southern Georgian Bay OPP were called at 10:34 am June 8, 2019 to a report of a Penetanguishene business that had received suspected counterfeit money for a retail store purchase. The OPP also received a similar complaint later in the day at 5:52 pm from a Midland retail store.

The counterfeit currency is described as being $100.00 Canadian currency bills and the passers used them to make in store purchases. Investigators wish to advise area retailers to be aware of these recent incidents.
