Rick Dalmazzi, Executive Chair of Muskoka Founders Circle, is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Founders Choice Awards at www.muskokafounderscircle.com.  In addition, the number of prizes has been increased from one to two this year.  Total prize money will increase from $10,000 to $20,000. First prize is $15,000 and second prize is $5,000.

Founders Choice Awards are given to Muskoka-based entrepreneurs with the most promising start-up business or new business idea.  The 2018 winner was Kim Aitken,
Aitken Frame Homes, Huntsville (www.aitkenframe.ca).  2019 winners will be announced at the Parry Sound Muskoka Community Network (PMCN) IMPACT Awards event on April 11, 2019 at the JW Marriot in Minett.

The IMPACT Awards is a red-carpet gala dinner event to celebrate the accomplishments of Founders Choice Award winners and winners of seven other Business Innovation awards of $1,000 each presented by PMCN.  The inaugural 2018 event was sold out well in advance.

“We were so impressed with the calibre of all the 2018 finalists that the Founders decided to double the awards and prize money for 2019,” commented Rick.  “We’re pleased with the response we’ve had to the Founders Choice Award program, and our growing group of Founders anticipates kicking off new initiatives in 2019.”
