Have you ever wanted to write your life story? The best book you’ll ever read is the one you write – your own life story. Here’s your chance to go beyond a journal that no one sees – to leaving a legacy for your family, friends, and community. Saturday, November 3, Muskoka Authors Association offers a workshop with author, Richard Campbell from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm.
Whether you’re 18 or 88, or anywhere in between – know it’s never too late to write your own story.
Writing your memoir can be a daunting task. You must choose a central theme and amplify it into your world view. You make decisions about narrative arc, dialogue, and finding your writing style. Often you must work alone with only tentative support from others. You feel your own perfectionism. What if I can’t do this? Is there another way? It’s time to rethink the paradigm.
In this session, Richard Campbell, author and founder of Guided Life Stories, will introduce you to a unique writing method that will enable you to move past these inhibitions to craft a compelling life story rich with emotional honesty and your own unique voice.
Location: St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4 Mary Street, Bracebridge – upstairs meeting room. Doors open at 9:00 am.
Workshop Fee: MAA Members: $25, Non-Members – $50
