Snow squalls and strong winds continue.

Multiple bands of snow squalls and blowing snow continue to affect the region this evening. Local snowfall amounts up to 20 cm per 12 hours are possible in the strongest snow squalls.

Strong westerly winds gusting up to 70 km/h are generating near zero visibilities in blowing snow in many areas.

The west winds will gradually veer to northwest this evening, shifting the snow squalls to the southeast of Georgian Bay. These snow squalls will continue into early Saturday morning.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility. Road closures are possible.

If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
