More Snow Squalls Are Possible This Afternoon And This Evening

Snow squall watch in effect for:

  • Bracebridge – Gravenhurst
  • Port Carling – Port Severn

Lake effect snow will develop east of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay this morning as a Colorado Low departs. Lake effect snow will intensify this afternoon and persist into this evening. Westerly winds gusting to 60 km/h are also expected to develop this morning resulting in blowing snow.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero due to blowing snow.

Total snowfall amounts may reach 15 cm over a few locations close to Georgian Bay.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
