The Hiram Street Parking Lot (Train Station) and the Granary Parking Lot will be reserved for vehicles associated with the film production company who are in town filming a Christmas movie for Netflix from May 1 to 16, according to a news release from the Town of Bracebridge on April 30.
The film called Knight Before Christmas is a love story about a time-traveling English knight from the past who unexpectedly finds his way to the present and falls in love. The movie stars Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Whitehouse. A release date has not been set yet.
“The Knight Before Christmas is being filmed almost entirely in Bracebridge with the exception of a couple of days in Ireland,” said Mayor Graydon Smith. “The film production company provides an enormous boost to the local economy during what is typically a very soft time of year. While we recognize that this parking restriction may cause some frustrations in the Downtown, we ask that people consider alternate travel and parking arrangements for the short period the filming is taking place.”
The Woodchester Parking Lot is available as an alternate all-day parking location. Click here for a link to municipal parking lots on the Bracebridge website.
