GM Of Nissan Barrie Charged In Connection With Mischiefs At Orillia Nissan


The Orillia OPP charged a Springwater Township man in connection with several mischiefs that took place at the Nissan dealership in Orillia. The Orillia OPP were called on January 04, 2019 to Orillia Nissan, on Commerce Road, with reports of damage done to new vehicles.

After the first incident, the dealership installed security cameras. The mischiefs happened a second time. Many vehicles that were already purchased were damaged and needed thousands of dollars in repairs. The incident has left staff at Orillia Nissan shocked and disappointed.

OPP have charged 59-year old Douglas Ross of Springwater Township with Mischief Over $5,000 in relation to this incident. The accused was also charged with two more counts of Mischief over $5,000 in relation to an incident in November of 2018 at the same business.

The accused has a court date set for February 12, 2019 in Orillia

The General Manager of Barrie Nissan has been suspended.
