Midland – Coldwater – Orr Lake,
South River – Burk’s Falls,
Town of Parry Sound – Rosseau – Killbear Park,
Port Carling – Port Severn,

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 10 kilometres west of Ellsmere Village to 10 kilometres west of Christian Island, moving east at 95 km/h.

Locations impacted include:
Parry Sound, North Bay, McKellar, Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Dunchurch, MacTier, Restoule, Port Severn, Rosseau, Port Carling, Nipissing, and Burk’s Falls.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
