The Downtown Bracebridge Father’s Day Car Show is making its return to Manitoba Street to celebrate 10 years of cars and family fun on June 16.
The Bracebridge Business Improvement Area (BIA) will be hosting its 10th annual Father’s Day Car Show between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on June 16. The show is free for visitors. For those looking to participate, the show will be open to all special interest vehicles from any era and registration will be 8 to 11 a.m. in Memorial Park. Participants can also pre-register online. There is a $5 registration fee and the first 150 cars to register will receive a dash plaque and goodie bag. Participants have the chance to win trophies from a large selection donated by the show’s community partners as well as other prizes courtesy of show sponsors. Awards and prizes will be presented at the bandshell in Memorial Park starting at 3 p.m.
“This event has [become] a tradition in our community and is a great way to spend the day with dad,” said Tracy Larkman, BIA administrative coordinator. “We would like to invite all car enthusiasts to Manitoba Street on June 16th to join in on the fun. The show has steadily grown over the past several years and has given many car collectors an opportunity to show off their vehicles.”
Manitoba Street will be closed to traffic between Ontario Street and Anne Street starting at 7 a.m. and will re-open at 5:30 p.m. The show organizers ask that all vehicles not participating in the show be out of this area before 7 a.m., or they will run the risk of being tagged and towed. Parking will be available for visitors in lots in the surrounding area.
